Statement

– I must go to look at the stars –

The drawing is the starting point of my research, which, investigates memory by means of transposition of autobiographical episodes which aim at representing a particular dimension (my personal story), through a universal dimension where spectators can know and recognise themselves. The drawing – with childlike strokes – influences and coordinates the other expressive art practices: sculptures, installations, videos.
The childhood world, the identity research, the portrait, the blue and gold colors, the stars, the sky are the elements that compose my artistic themes.
The recollections I model my artwork with are shaky handholds, through which, also thanks to creative and cathartic imagination that provides forlacks of memory, the artworks are shaped.
Hence, art becomes an experience of sublimation, where what is removed is then revealed and later filled.
